Scottsdale Charities

Welcome to the ‘Charities’ Section of Scottsdale.com and City Brand Media

Scottsdale.com and City Brand Media are proud to introduce the “Charities” section of our Arizona sites. Throughout the year we will highlight various organizations and philanthropic endeavors undertaken by businesses such as National Bank of Arizona (NB|AZ) through the NBAZ Charities arm of its business.

Continual funding for NBAZ Charities comes from various NB|AZ fundraising and sponsorship efforts and events such as Smart Women Smart Money Conference in April, The Society of Chairs Awards Dinner in May, The Taste of Biltmore tasting event in October, Winter Swing Charity Golf Outing in December and the Arizona Leadership Forum. In the fall of each year, employees have the opportunity to participate in an annual giving campaign by helping to select individual nonprofit organizations as recipients of NBAZ Charities grants.

NBAZ Charities and its affiliated events represent all four of NB|AZ's value pillars: Giving, Fundraising, Corporate Citizenship and Engagement. The charity will concentrate on critical issues facing Arizona and bestow grants to those organizations making an impact in the areas of Affordable Housing, Economic Development, Arts and Culture, Education, Community Services, Health/Human Services and Neighborhood Stabilization.

NBAZ recognizes that nonprofit organizations are a vital part of the community and the bank is committed to assisting them in their banking needs. Social services and various cultural and professional organizations throughout the state rely on NBAZ for direction in providing ideas, advice and solutions to meet financial and other goals and ultimately, their mission. Through the NBAZ publication www.elevateaz.com, the bank spotlights the ways it is spearheading various philanthropic endeavors throughout Arizona.

Other locally-based nonprofit organizations will also be spotlighted throughout the year in our Charities section. Whether we are interviewing founders, CEOs, volunteers or valuable decision makers, Scottsdale.com and City Brand Media strive to bring attention to those who work so hard on behalf of others who often don’t have a voice or might need a bigger voice and larger forum for their cause.

While out in the community, the engaged staff of Scottsdale.com can be found at events throughout Arizona. Past events our staff has had the pleasure to engage with and cover include the NBAZ Charities Grant Cycle, Celebrity Fight Night, the Ryan House 7th Annual Community Breakfast, the Phoenix Go Red for Women Luncheon, Fitz’s Supper Club 2015 Celebrities at Your Service, multiple events benefitting Scottsdale League for the Arts, Taste of the Biltmore and many others. At every event, we look to spread the word about nonprofits and individuals who are doing outstanding things to make our community better, serve individuals and special groups and make our world a better place to live. Please take the time to get to know NBAZ Charities and the other nonprofits spotlighted at www.scottsdale.com.
