Scottsdale Arts

Welcome to the ‘Arts’ Section of Scottsdale.com and City Brand Media

In a unique partnership with the Scottsdale Gallery Association, Scottsdale.com and City Brand Media are proud to introduce the Scottsdale.com “Arts” section. Each month we will spotlight local, regional and national up-and-coming and established artists. The individual galleries in the Scottsdale Gallery Association will also be included in our ongoing series of spotlights and focused feature stories.

Artists represented within the galleries of the Scottsdale Gallery Association apply their craft through the widest variety of mediums including paint, photography, glass, fabric, stone, metal, precious and semi-precious stones and other mixed media. The talented and engaging artists represented by various galleries will often be available to meet and greet fans and the public during the weekly Scottsdale Art Walk.

The Scottsdale Art Walk is a engaging and unique way to experience art in the historic Scottsdale Arts District. Every Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. the public is invited to the free event that takes place along Main Street from Scottsdale Road, west to Goldwater Boulevard and on Marshall Way north of Indian School Road to Fifth Avenue.

Restaurants, museums and free trolley and/or horse-drawn carriage rides are available during ArtWalk to transport people from numerous free parking areas throughout the Scottsdale Arts District and Downtown Scottsdale. If you will be walking the route, just look for the convenient “Artwalk The Line” signs on the sidewalk. Those signs will guide you on your artful journey of discovery.

There is simply no better way to experience the true culture of the Scottsdale Arts District than during ArtWalk. Some galleries offer light refreshments, feature live music, have artist demonstrations and extend special incentives during this event. In some instances, individual gallery owners will be available to discuss the works in the gallery and answer questions.
