Kicking off this fall, W Tour Life amplifies across the West with stops at W Scottsdale, W Seattle, W San Francisco, and W Los Angeles – West Beverly Hills
W Hotels has earned musical prestige as a launch pad for creative renegades and an incubator for the next-big-thing. Inspired by their brand’s roots, four W properties on the west coast are setting the stage September 21 - October 5 with the launch of the W TOUR LIFE series, stopping at W San Francisco, W Seattle, W Scottsdale and W Los Angeles – West Beverly Hills.
Up-and-coming female band, LJ Laboratory, will be headlining each city with a visually arresting performance as a precursor to their upcoming debut album release Analogue Interference. The tour will stop at W Scottsdale on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.
The opening act will be a tough one to follow: WHAT SHE SAID, W Hotels’ worldwide ladies-only series that brings powerful, progressive women together (think Diane von Furstenberg, Courtney Wartman of Clique Media as past panelists), will begin each show with a top-tier, regional panel of inspiring women movers and shakers from the music industry.
Each WHAT SHE SAID panel will be comprised of four to five women, consisting of members of LJ Laboratory alongside music industry executives. The panel will be moderated by Lauren A. Spalding, the manager of LJ Laboratory, made up of four powerful jazz musicians using narrative, artistry, innovate designs and analog synthesizers to transport their audiences into a sci-fi journey reminiscent of Kraftwerk. Their A-list, multi-GRAMMY-winning production team has worked with Prince, Daft Punk and Kanye West. Following the panel, LJ Laboratory will take the stage for a live performance at all properties and a DJ set at W Scottsdale.
On September 21, the tour kicks off at W San Francisco in the SoMa district with two female powerhouses, including Tiffanie DeBartolo, the CEO, founder and visionary of San Francisco-based indie label Bright Antenna Records and co-founder of the non-profit ShineMaker Foundation. Also on the roster: Jodi Goodman, senior vice president of Live Nation Entertainment, the world’s leading live entertainment and e-commerce company, who worked with legends like Prince, Whitney Houston and Frank Sinatra, with Goodman producing his last concert.
Next up on September 28 is W Seattle with Abbie Gobeli and Amy Dunn of AEG, the worldwide sporting and music entertainment presenter and the world's largest owner of preeminent facilities and sports events. The two will share their meteoric rise in the business, from running for small clubs to overseeing production and operating the world’s most coveted large-scale concerts and festivals. Also sounding off is Liz Pjesky on launching her own marketing/consulting company, LP Touring, working with a client roster that includes Grammy-award-winning country artist Sturgill Simpson.
At W Scottsdale on October 4, Jamie LeVine, chief communications officer of Steve LeVine Entertainment (SLE) will take the stage. LeVine directs the agency’s communications business which specializes in event planning, coordination and production, talent booking and management, marketing and promotions, new media and design. She is an expert on leveraging national and local media partnerships that have translated to business growth at SLE.
For the grand finale at W Los Angeles – West Beverly Hills on October 5, the property is pulling out all the stops. Front and center is Danielle Madeira, vice president of special events at Another Planet Entertainment (APE), the world's leading private concert company with clients including Neil Young to Lady Gaga, Radiohead, Daft Punk, Luke Bryan, and not to mention mega-presidential fundraisers for President Obama.
