The Red Affair Luncheon by NAWBO Phoenix, December 14 at Hilton Scottsdale Resort
It was an affair to remember on December 14 at Scottsdale Hilton Resort as the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) gathered its esteemed members, guests, and present and past organization leadership to celebrate the power the accomplishments of women in business.
NAWBO also took the opportunity during the Red Affair to hold a raffle to benefit the Women’s Enterprise Foundation. Some of the raffle items included exciting gift baskets, Southwest Airlines Ticket vouchers, pampering items, artwork and much more.
NAWBO’s current president, Phaedra Earhart took the time to acknowledge the importance of the organization’s work and the love that it has for all of its members. There was also a VIP table that was occupied by many of the past presidents of NAWBO and the guests at the Red Affair acknowledged their support and gratefulness for many years of outstanding leadership. Earhart also encouraged everyone in the room to remember to acknowledge someone every day during the holiday season, whether it was military personnel, a homeless person, or someone just having a bad day. The entire room was inspired to take up the challenge and there was a palpable positive energy in the room.
While nearly 150 guests dined on an outstanding lunch, comedian Jill Kimmel took the stage to entertain the guests. The international comedian did a perfectly timed routine that touched on everything from weight loss and divorce to parenting teenagers, texting and the joys and downsides of frizzy hair. Who are we kidding? She talked about as much as she possibly could. The guests were laughing from start to finish! The comedian extraordinaire will next head off to the Middle East to entertain the troops during the holidays.
