My Sister's Closet Celebrates 25 Years with a Silver Anniversary Soiree October 20

The Valley Based and Sister Owned Company That Made Consigning Cool….

My Sister’s Closet Celebrates 25 Years with a Silver Anniversary Soiree 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20

This October the charitable sisters who made consigning cool and are now behind one of the country’s largest designer consignment empires, My Sister’s Closet, My Sister’s Attic and Well Suited, celebrate 25-years of consignment success with a Silver Anniversary Soiree.

Join Ann Siner, Jenny Siner and Tess Loo October 20th starting at 5:30pm at My Sister’s Closet located in the Lincoln Village Shopping Center at 6204 N. Scottsdale Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85253.

With a Karl Lagerfeld themed evening enjoy light bites, entertainment, a Twisted Sister Cocktail and shopping all night long to benefit some of the sister’s favorite nonprofits.Space is limited. RSVP for the party to [email protected].

When the Siner sisters look back on the last 25-years one thing always comes to mind:

“Wow!The fashions have changed, but attitudes towards resale shopping have changed even more over two and a half decades,” said Ann Siner, as she chuckles looking at pictures of herself and sister Jenny Siner from 1991.

That was the year Ann and sister Jenny opened their first location of My Sister’s Closet in a quaint space at Town & Country Shopping Center located near 20th Street and Camelback in Phoenix.

“We thought resale stores didn't have to be dark, dirty and dingy. Why couldn’t they look like new boutiques?” said Jenny Siner.“We dedicated ourselves to turning the those ‘three d’s’ into the ‘three c's’ - cute, clean and current.”

What the sisters discovered still blows them away today. The store was always filled. Consignments were flooding in and the women were unintentionally reshaping how people in Arizona shopped. They learned that being able to turn your current wardrobe into cash just makes good sense. And being able to shop for the best brands in the world at up to 90% off retail is pretty cool too.

"When Jenny and I opened our first store at Town & Country we had a feeling the community would embrace our recycled designer apparel shop, but never imagined it would blossom into what it has become today. This is just more than we could have ever dreamed,” said CEO Ann Siner.

25-years later the Siner sisters have grown a high-end retail shop into a designer consignment empire. Eco-Chic Consignments now has 15 locations in Arizona and California and features three brands; My Sister’s Closet, Well Suited (men’s apparel), and My Sister’s Attic (home furnishings).

More than two and half decades of happy shopping and (mostly) sisterly bliss turned My Sister’s Closet into a $25+ million company, currently employing 240 people and featuring a thriving online business that attracts customers from around the globe. The sisters are giving shoppers a more modern and fashionable feel with the same killer deals on designer clothing, handbags, shoes, hats, accessories, jewelry and much more. But even through all their success the Siner sisters have also stayed true to their roots by giving back to organizations that help women and animals.

Ann herself has fostered hundreds of animals over the years and combined they have generously donated more than 30 percent of their proceeds to organizations every year like the AZ Humane Society, Helping Animals Live On (HALO), Fresh Start, AZ Nature Conservatory, Southwest Wildlife Conversation Center, Defenders of Wildlife and many others.

That charitable giving even led the sisters to open their own thrift store in 2014. My Sisters’ Charities Thrift Store annually donates 100% of its net profits to charity and has raised more than a $170,000 for charity since opening.

“We are thrilled with the success of My Sisters’ Charities Thrift Store and amazed at what we were able to accomplish in just a year and half,” said Ann Siner. “My Sisters’ Charities is committed to supporting organizations aimed at wildlife preservation, helping women in abusive relationships and ending euthanasia of homeless pets, and we know our contributions make a difference.”

So what does the future hold for the Valley’s favorite family of designer consignment shops?

“Our plan is to continue locating new markets, expanding our online presence, offering the finest inventory available and doing everything possible to keep our customers and consigners happy,” said Jenny Siner.

And to throw a big shopping party to celebrate!Equipped with the best deals in town, hottest items and of course some charity, Ann and Jenny Siner wouldn’t have it any other way.
