Larger Than Life Darth Vader & Yoda Balloons to Grace Field of Southwest’s Largest Rugby Event April 23

Arizona’s First: Fiesta Bowl & Rugby Classic to Feature World Travelling Hot Air Balloons From Famous Belgian Balloon-Maker Benoit Lambert; Tickets for Event Now on Sale

One of United States’ largest rugby events will not only showcase the gritty match 5:10 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016 between the Mexican National Rugby Union Team and the nationally-ranked Arizona State University team at the Scottsdale Stadium, but it will also feature world-renowned Star Wars themed balloons created by Benoit Lambert of Belgium.

Presented by Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale, The Fiesta Bowl Rugby & Balloon Classic will have some of the world’s most uniquely-designed and popular hot air balloons, bringing some much needed relief after the David vs. Goliath match-up.

For its third year the Fiesta Bowl & Rugby Balloon Classic will offer top-flight rugby competition – this time bringing in a country’s national rugby team, a team who narrowly missed qualifying for the Rugby World Cup this past year.

Following the ASU-Mexico face off Darth Vader and Yoda will glow on the Scottsdale Stadium for the event’s first ever Hot Air Balloon Glow. This will be their first visit to Arizona. The Scottsdale Stadium is located at7408 E. Osborn Rd., Scottsdale.

“It took us only eight weeks to make the Darth Vader balloon after receiving approval from Lucasfilm,” said Benoit Lambert, creator of the Star Wars themed balloons. “I can’t think of a better event than the Fiesta Bowl Rugby & Balloon Classic to debut my balloons in Arizona.”

Lambert’s balloons have been featured at hot air balloon festivals across the world including in Russia, Taiwan, Germany and The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the world’s largest hot air balloon festival.
