There’s no denying that baseball spring training games in the Valley are among some of the most highly-anticipated events of the season. Before or after the game, don’t miss the chance to dine at award-winning gastropub Craft 64. The nosh-and-slosh hotspot in Old Town Scottsdale will be an unforgettable part of your spring training memories this year!
Craft 64’s owner and operator James Swann says, “This is a spring training destination! Most of the games start at 1 p.m. and go until 3 or 3:30 p.m. What we do have is our everyday lunch special.” Each day the lunch special at Craft 64 runs until 1 p.m. and includes a personal-sized “pizzetta” with one topping, or a sandwich or a fresh salad and comes with a soda, iced tea, beer or wine for only $12. The wood-fired pizzas are dangerously delicious and nearly all of the ingredients at Craft 64 are fresh and locally sourced. The proof is in the taste!
“Happy hour starts at 4 p.m., right after the game,” adds Swann. “It includes $1 off all the draft beers and there are six house wines for $6. There is also quite a bit of happy hour food including charcuterie, mini-pizzas and sandwiches.” Don’t miss the huge selection of local brews. Whether you like IPAs, stouts, pale ales or wheat beers, you will find a unique beer to fall in love with at Craft 64.
Whether you go for the food and stay for the beer or vice versa, you’ll be glad that you visited Craft 64. Cleverly named for the fact that there are 64 ounces in a growler of beer (and yes, they do fill growlers), Craft 64 effectively merges at the intersection of gastropub, wine bar and artisan pizzeria. You will also enjoy the camaraderie and atmosphere that lives in Craft 64 as it is located in the second oldest home in Scottsdale.
Craft 64 is located at 6922 E. Main St, Scottsdale. Visit www.craft64.com or call (480) 946-0542 for additional information. Craft 64 is open 11 a.m.-11 p.m., seven days a week.
