John HansenJohn Hansen, author of “The Bluesuit Chronicles”, transitioned from Vietnam Navy to police officer in July 1970. After serving in two tours of Vietnam, he became uniformed police officer for ten years in Bellevue, Wa. This was a turbulent time, when vets were not welcomed home as heroes. John explains the environment and lack of receptively from military service in unpopular war. Only to enter another problemed environment of drug & crime. (another blue suit)! Today he volunteers in law enforcement for Search & Rescue work on horseback with Maricopa County Mounted Sheriff’s Posse in Phoenix, AZ. Travel back in time as John shares his experiences in two careers wearing THE BLUE SUIT!Penny MillerPenny Miller has served as a social worker the Health Care for Homeless Veterans programs for the Phoenix VA HealthCare System since 2008. She has served as the Community Resource & Referral Center (CRRC) Coordinator since November 2016, where she values the opportunity to work with a diverse team to serve homeless and at-risk Veterans. Prior to the CRRC, Penny had served with the Veterans Justice Outreach Program since 2009. Penny has obtained both her Masters of Social Work and her Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice & Criminology from Arizona State University.
